i must say i have had some good experiences and some bad ones from ebay.

Never had a problem with it, I only buy cheaper things though. But my bro has spent lots of money on big dollar items and never a problem though.

True! I've only bought a few things but my gf almost lives on it and no big problems.

man what woman doesn't live on ebay..looking at piece of clothing after clothing... all looks the same to me! lol yeh ebay is awesome for most things.

Just make sure you're buying the correct part and to read all the details

Ebay can be bloody brilliant if you shop smart, and do your homework too...

After finding that my Soarer's radiator was full of rust (a no-brainer considering it was sitting empty for 6 months with a blown head gasket), the mission began to find a replacement. Short of forking out $1350 for a new one from Toyota, or getting a second hand unit which would be about 15 years old anyway, I found numerous aluminium examples on ebay.

I will stress it again, do your homework. One particular supplier on ebay supplies golpher radiators. As soon as I realised these were made in China I nearly threw the idea away, but truth be told the Chinese make some good parts (KKR turbos!) if you know where to look. I let several other members of SoarerCentral be the guinea pigs, and the welds are second to none, and fitment is perfect. Best of all, theyre cheap. I got a 26mm replacement (stock) for $259, and $30 posted to TAS from Sydney. For about another $100 or so you can get a 40mm if you are building a 350KW+ monster.

I know the seller's name is michael_auto_parts, so check it out. He has radiators for 33's, silvias and other popular imports too.

Aside from that however, I have had one bad experience on ebay - be careful if buying used shifters - I got one for my Soarer for a pittance, but he didnt include mounting bolts, etc.

The key is to buy from those who come recommended, and those who you can clearly see have satisfied fellow owners of your selected rides (check vehicle-specific forums)

paypal is a definate.

what i do when buying anything of value - eg vf34 !!!!

i contact another buyer of the same product and get info on service , quality etc etc

i am yet to have a bad experience on there.








although there was this one time .............. in band camp

i only use paypal!
